This notice explains the information involved when you browse Platemen's teaware catalog, ask about a piece, use checkout if available, or request help with delivery or a return. It supplements the Shopify-managed privacy notice linked through the platform.

What information enters a tea order

You may give us your name, contact details, shipping or billing address, selected items, order details, and messages about a vessel, missing component, return, or other support issue. Shopify and any payment provider shown at checkout may process transaction and payment data; do not email us complete card credentials.

Technical information can include IP address, browser and device details, page activity, cookies, and similar identifiers. Information can come from forms you complete, your store activity, Shopify, payment providers, carriers, and service providers involved in the transaction.

Purposes, recipients, and retention

We use information to show the catalog, operate any available checkout, verify and fulfill orders, arrange parcel delivery, answer product questions, process returns, prevent fraud, keep records, meet legal duties, and maintain site reliability. We share what is reasonably necessary with Shopify, actual payment processors, carriers, hosting and technical providers, professional advisers, and authorities when required.

A service provider may process information in another country with applicable safeguards. We retain information only as long as needed for these purposes and legal duties, then delete or de-identify it where appropriate. We use reasonable security measures, although no internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Store technologies and the map

Necessary technologies support core storefront functions. Preference tools may remember selections; analytics may measure use; advertising cookies or pixels may support measurement or personalized marketing if actually enabled. If Google Ads, conversion tracking, remarketing, Google Analytics, Enhanced Conversions, or personalized advertising is enabled, those services may receive visit or interaction data according to applicable law and your choices. If Enhanced Conversions is enabled, a provider may receive hashed email addresses or phone numbers supplied during checkout or another eligible interaction to match conversions. Hashing does not necessarily make that information anonymous; the hashed values may still be personal information under applicable law. This conditional description does not assert that any of these tools is active.

Reading this policy or dismissing a banner is not consent to optional advertising technology. Use available on-site controls, Your Privacy Choices, and browser controls. The Google Maps embed on our home and Contact pages loads directly from Google and can send IP and device or browser information to Google; read Google's Privacy Policy.

State rights and opt-out requests

Depending on your state and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information, and opt out of a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. California residents may have CCPA/CPRA rights; other states may provide similar rights. We honor a valid Global Privacy Control signal where required and technically applicable. Use Your Privacy Choices or email support@platemen.com. We do not unlawfully discriminate for exercising a privacy right.

We may verify identity before responding. An authorized agent may make a request where law allows; we may require proof of authority and direct verification where permitted. We respond within the applicable legal period and explain a lawful extension or denial. If your state grants an appeal, reply to our decision or email with 'Privacy appeal'; we will explain the review and any further regulator route required by law. Different states can have different deadlines.

Children and updates

The store is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you believe a child supplied information. We may update this notice when practices or law change; the date above identifies this version.
